In case anyone was wondering, the Yellow-tufted Honeyeater, whilst it is among the more attractive
of the family, is a regular visitor in Canberra in winter (though usually in
singles or pairs). So don't get the impression it is rare. By all means go to
see one, whilst there is one in an easily accessible spot, but there are sure to
be many others about also, (including most likely in some people's gardens).
Places like Googong and along the Murrumbidgee corridor are also good spots for
them.
