There are currently at least 7 species of honeyeater at the Australian National Gallery gardens. Including among them today a single Yellow-tufted Honeyeater. It called occasionally with its single coarse 'tcheek'.
The bird seemed to be hanging around with all the other honeyeaters in the brittle gums surrounding the small patch of open grass between the gallery building and the lake. It was feeding on aerial insects and gleaning them from leaves while I watched between 1.30 and 2pm. At least one gum was starting to flower, but it was jealously guarded by Red Wattlebirds.
Also present Eastern Spinebill, Fuscous Honeyeater (at least 3), White-naped Honeyeater, Yellow-faced Honeyeater and the resident White-plumed Honeyeaters including, as Benj's email mentioned, at least 2 begging juveniles.

Cheers
