I've just been sent a couple of quite extraordinary photos by an ABC
listener. I have no reason to believe I'm being had, but I've not come
across anything like it.
They show a legless galah 'perching' in a couple of situations by hanging by
its beak. Remarkably the person who sent them tells me that the bird's been
around (in Conder) for 18-24 months now! Anyone else come across it, or
something similar?
I've written and asked for any more info - how it feeds on the ground, how
it takes off etc. Anything else?
The photos are too large to post here (150KB and 220KB) but I'm happy to
forward them to anyone interested.
cheers
Ian
