Yes if you buy from overseas, even without re-shipping, warranty & after-sales service might be difficult or impossible - depending on the retailer/manufacturer. And its good reason to, as Paul suggested, pay extra and buy your Swarovskis from Bintel (and I did a few years ago). But other items I'm happy to take the risk that they'll be lost/faulty. For example, running shoes via the reshipper work out at 50% of the price of locally. I just bought sleeping bags&mats (moontrail.com) with better specs than anything I saw in the Sydney bushwalking shops and about half the price. Andrew |
