Because my original Leicas BA 10x42 were bought in Singapore and brought to
Oz for me there was no warranty on them. I got caught once when the
eyepieces got grit in them ( dropped them walking round Ayres Rock) - no
warranty because not bought in Oz. Mind you, I got them for about half
price so couldn't whinge too much.
