Tania,
Truely 'tickable' Barbary doves don't exist, since they apparently are a
domesticated form of African Collared Dove - the best way to tick this
one is a trip to sub-saharan Africa.
Similar with the Rock Pigeon - all of them in AUS are offspring of the
domesticated form (better called Feral Pigeon). Some Feral Pigeons look
like true Rock Pigeons, most don't. Tickable Rock Pigeons are found in
NW Europe, S Europe, S Asia and N Africa.
Also most Mallards here (at least in the Sydney area) don't look like
wild-type Mallards...

Does anyone know where some tickable Barbary Doves are hiding out?
There must obviously be viable self-sustaining populations out there
somewhere.
Regards,
Tania
