Note also that coal is heavily subsidised as well. All energy and
agriculture is subsidised in the way Government sets policy. The financial
decision might have been:
"We can't compete with out subsidies while coal technology is being heavily
subsidised."

low emission technolgies, has been reached, at a subsidy cost of a billion

By extrapolation, this suggests that without subsidising each
turbine by possibly a million dollars, the technology here is not
commercially viable. I'll check with the Minister as to the precise
subsidy.
