Also, if $14 million AUD were slated for the Asian Elephant recovery program regardless of objection, why on earth wouldn't you spend that money in an asian country where that money will go 10 times further, could buy land for conservation, and set up some kind of meaningful long term plan? It's all about the publicity if you ask me, not the outcome.
