g'day all,
I live in a part of Aus that has been stated to be a
little remote from the rest of the world, but I have bumped into non local
Birdo's at both the Sewage Ponds and at one of the more accessible bays at Lake
Moondarra. They included both visitors from overseas, Queensland
and some other states (these last we call Mexicans !)
Last year I met 3 different parties of Birdo's travelling
independently, who stayed at the Moondarra Caravan Park. This is
in addition to organised groups. At another time 2 independent parties stayed at
the Park.
The visitors book at the remote Carpentarian Grasswren site on
McNamara's road 60km NW of Mount Isa records that one day 3 carloads of Birdo's
also travelling independently met each other.
On another occasion I arrived as
another car left.
Perhaps the Isa is part of civilisation after all
?
Regards, Bob Forsyth, Mount Isa, NW Qld.
