[ts-7000] TS-7800 and lenny

I'm trying to upgrade my TS-7800 to lenny.  I did the sarge -> etch upgrade by updating the sources.list then doing apt-get update, apt-get dist-upgrade.  That worked, so I tried doing the same thing with lenny and I get stuck at the following error;

 

Setting up libuuid1 (1.41.0-3) ...
chown: changing ownership of `\233\220': No such file or directory
dpkg: error processing libuuid1 (--configure):
 subprocess post-installation script returned error exit status 1
Errors were encountered while processing:
 libuuid1
E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1)

pretty much won't let me do anything else.  Any other upgrade or change I try to make simply repeats this error. Does anyone have any ideas?
