Hi Charlie,

Our project resembles to yours.

We need 1 or 2 CAN bus at 1Mbit/s. We should drive a color LCD
(640x480,800x600,1024x768). A battery backup just in case power
failures. And real time abilities (if possible, running on linux
kernel 2.4).

We are thinking to use 7300. I'm not sure if it's a good idea after
what you write :), but we may still give it a try.

I think you managed to operate TS CAN card. Can you please send me
some links to the needed documentation? A year ago, I tried to run
Realtime RTAI on this box. And I may say, TS has a documentation
problem. There are many exceptions which you discovery after all the
planning :(.

Can I plug a standard 15" office LCD to the VGA output? Do I need some
library or extra Hardware?

In one other project we need more CPU power and same requirements. So
I'd like to know your comments about AMD Geode 800Mhz miniPC (and a
link if possible)

Thanks in advance,
Oguz.
