Hello,

> I was a disappointed to find that the sdcard driver was proprietary,

Unfortunately the SD association forces it's members to a sign an NDA in
order to get access to the proprietary SD spec.

To give some background on the TS-7300, it was originally a custom
design for a company who was developing a gaming device used in Las
Vegas. As a result the company required some of the security features of
the SD card in order to pass the Las Vegas gaming commissions
certification process. Therefor Technologic Systems was required to
become member of the SD association and sign an NDA to get access to the
SD spec. An FPGA core for the SD card was then developed and later used
in other products(e.g. TS-7260).

We've been testing a 2.6.21 kernel on our TS-7xxx products recently.
After the release of the TS-7800 Technologic Systems plans to add
support for the 2.6.21 kernel.
