Yes, I used fdisk to format the entire card.  RedBoot recognizes it as
hda1.  I copied vmlinuz by mounting the card (via a USB card reader)
and just copying.  That technique seems to work fine for copying the
Debian distro.  I don't see why it wouldn't for copying vmlinuz either.
