I have not used a crossover in a while. With the TS-7260 and TS-7300
connected to my dirt cheap HP Laptop running Ubuntu, straight through
cable, everything works fine (not sure which one does the switching).
I noticed this first with Sixnet RTUs a very long time ago. They are
currently advertising:
10/100 Auto-detecting real-time Ethernet
http://www.sixnetio.com/htmlhelps/catalog_new/versatrak_ipm.htm
Would not be surprised if the TS Ethernet ports are auto-detecting as well.
Try a straight through cable, you will probably be surprised to see
that it works.
As a side note, check out the prices of the Sixnet RTUs, and you will
realize what a buy the Arm SBCs are.
