Hello Jim,
Well the TS-7xxx's are "low end" compared to multi-core machines with
gigabytes of RAM and terabyte storage. But they're definitely real
computers with real operating systems with absolutely no resemblance
whatsoever to your average flash microcontroller. Wouldn't have to
turn back the clock too far for a 200mHz machine with 64mb RAM and
512mb storage to be cutting edge.
Nothing's wrong with the standard kernel now that I realize things
like Busybox are available. Must say though that ucLinux has some
buzzword value in my industry, it's not Logical but often true. I'm
still struggling up the steep part of the curve, bear with me.
Doggone it, where's the Dummies Guide for all this stuff?
