Hi Bill,
Check out the TS-BAT3 - if your application's budget can support it.
This is a small UPS which mounts on the PC/104 slot. This will allow
the system to shutdown correctly on loss of power. At present I'm not
sure if the software is 100% complete (its currently focused on
powering a board for short periods of time over a number of days),
but I know TS are looking into it.
