Thank you for the information. This is very informative. The code is
way beyond me but I am glad to see open source moving this direction.

 Yes, I read about the jtag header being left off the ts7000 by ts for
"size" constraints. Given what I have read, the ts9420 does most of
this via pc104 header(eeprom,bootrom, redboot).

I guess where the jtag comes in handy is with the CPLD but I don't
really know what the manual means (ts7000 ) when it says the CPLD
allows for customized programming without need to do additional board
re-design.

What I really need, is to know the board I am messing with can take an
fis erase and not die to the point where I need jtag ice.
