Does your TS-7200 board have the RS485 option installed on COM2?
Our board does and we have tried to get COM2 to go, with no success.
We tracked the problem down to U11 (RS485) being enabled, hence
pulling-up/down the RXD line back to the UART. On the schematic the
RS232 RXD line and the RS485 RXD are joined via R51. Only when the
RS485 is disabled does this line go to high-impedance allowing the
RS232 line control.
We have tried not to use COM2 so have not pursued any further.
Not much help, but may give you something to look at.
Regards,
Clive
