I just got a Zoom F8. It is very small, but has very good preamps (8 of the=
m) and has time code. I am planning to build a 12 volt lithium pack with a =
four pin connector (like the Sound Devices) and use the internal 8 AA cell =
pack as back up. It also records to two memory cards. Almost exactly 1000 u=
sd at B and H.
