I'm not very confident about post-synching two or more recorders, in
particular if the goal is building a credible spatial image. Human brain is
very sensitive to very thin delays among ears and all recorders have a
slightly different sample rate. You need to have two very accurate
time-reference points at the beginning and at the end of each recording to
produce a good time alignment across all the recording.  An option to get
great synch is to use one channel to record the 1Hz pulse given by some
special GPS units, but of course this option has a big impact on cost and
simplicity. Consider that a ZOOM F8 multichannel recorder costs as 4 SONY
PCM-M10, maybe less.
