HI Jonathan,

I monitor through the MixPre-D, which is going into a Microtrack 24/96. I
can't recall exactly what cable I use, but I think it was around $35 CDN.

One thing that may (or might not) be relevant: I'll often run the
Microtrack from a USB battery pack (as I tend to set it up for long takes
and leave it running, not to mention that the Microtrack's built-in battery
is a piece of crap) =E2=80=93 the SPDIF and USB inputs are quite close toge=
ther on
the recorder and both may not easily be plugged into @ the same time...I
had to re-jig the battery pack's USB connector slightly in order to be able
to use both simultaneously.

Hope this helps =E2=80=93 the MixPre-D is a wonderful piece of kit, BTW, an=
d =E2=80=93 as
mentioned elsewhere in this post =E2=80=93 also works very well via analog =
line-in
to a Sony PCM M10 (a set-up I also use).

Cheers...

Michael
