I have used a Mix-PreD for the last year or so, and I am completely happy w=
ith it. I use the AES out function to the SPDIF in on a Marantz PMD-661. Be=
tween the two units is a Canare line matching transformer 110 ohms to 75 oh=
ms ($30 transformer). It's a pretty solid rig. If you would like to see pic=
tures, I have a blog about a project that I'm doing for a local wildlife re=
fuge. A couple of the early posts are devoted to technical stuff. Further u=
pstream is a pair of Audio-Technica AT-4022s built into a spaced boundary a=
