Hi,
I have spent many years in the music industry as both player and teacher. It=
was only when I came to sound recording that I realised my need and necess=
sity=C2=A0 to listen more intently. I agree that at times I wish I could he=
ar just at a crude surface level, but one ought to be careful what they wis=
h for, Late at night is difficult when my hearing gets too edgy and that fa=
intest sound could be a tap running or some appliance left on.But away from=
home I rather enjoy trying to tune into the various overtones going on in =
my ears.Enjoy it and use it while you can.

Interesting comment, Robin - thank you. It is true that debating what is 'n=
atural' can sometimes be quite a paradox.

However, with the technology and accessible knowledge that we have today, i=
t is becoming a moral duty to address the issue of Anthrophony and its effe=
cts on the non-human world. I would like to be at an enlightened state or m=
aturity, where I can accept all forms of sound - but I would much rather de=
cide for myself which ones are good and which ones are not good, and be a t=
yrant about it. That way, I would not be forced to make a conscious effort =
to blend in with and accept the world that surrounds me; I could instead fo=
rce the world to sound the way I want it to.

Doesn't that sound wonderful?
