Hi Peter

I'm Belgian but have been living on and off in Sydney for the last 4 years.
I've found that it's very hard to get equipment for a reasonable price here.
Most strangely is the entire Rode range. Even though they're an Australian
brand, their microphones cost considerably less in Europe or the US than here
in Oz. Sometimes almost half the price. Weird, but what can you do?
So I've been buying equipment online from American or European shops. You get a
much better price (even with shipping included), and as long as you stay under
A$1000, you won't have any problems with customs.
It's sad for the local economy, but, again, what can you do?

Cheers

Peter
