You mean like this:

I haven't tried dealing with Sennheiser for repairs or replacement
parts (I have a Neumann KMS-105 which developed a bzzzzzzt, and
Sennheiser
USA want me to guarantee $300 payment before they'll accept it for
repair.
Oddly, Sennheiser branded mics are $50-$120 for repair returns). Even
with a replacement headband, it looks like a time consuming repair
because
you'd have to rewire them.
I remember a similar repair I did on my Sony MDR-7506s, and it was
tedious. My dog chewed the headband pad and ear pads off the MDR-7506s.
I was able to get replacement parts directly from Sony USA Pro parts,
for
reasonable price and timely service.
