I've used a home-built 2-channel snake made of star-quad with a Crown SASS = and other mics. I had a 50' and 25' snake, and sometimes put both together = for a 75' run with no issues. 5-pin XLR to 2 3-pin XLR break-outs on each = end with about 6' of cable to each 3-pin XLR allow spaced omnis without ext= ra cables. The decision depends on the balance of your aversion to schleppi= ng cables versus enjoyment of soldering. --- In "rayb" <> wrote: > > > > That's what I initially was going to do but thought it would be easier to= run a single star quad cable from the recorder to the mics in the boundary= array. |
