Tim,
You bring up an interesting point... Its an environmental issue I
suspect... Around here the only water and streams I record near are tidal=
creeks and they are very sluggish and make no noise that I am aware of...
About the only flow
of water here is the twice daily tide and it takes 6 hours to go from low=
to high changing about 18 inches depth in that time... Very slow flow!

Another fact I didn't think to mention as I always use the low cut filter
in the SD preamps... Much easier to have a switch in front of you at the
operating position than out on a tripod or mast up 25-30 feet... I like
high microphone locations, I find my mic arrays work best as high up as I
can mount them...
