Styles do differ! Soundscape recording vs species recording or sound collec=
tion for film/video production. I prefer to record my surround sound only w=
ith omnis! Hey, nature is all around, in a good ambience there is no unwant=
ed sound.

I stand corrected. The "M/S" you'd get from a shotgun/omni combination woul=
d be a mono zoom effect. Might be useful, but not stereo. Now shotgun and b=
idirectional...
