Hi Mark, I have unfortunately no experience with the MKH416, but I have the even mor= e expensive MKH60 as well as the ME66/K6. The MKH 60 provides a subjectively lower inherent noise floor than the ME66= /K6. Due to its optimization for the human ear, it is however noisier at fr= equencies above about 10 kHz, where the ME66/K6 provides better results (wh= ich would be an issue for bioacoustic research). Regards, Raimund > I have looked at both the Sen ME66/K6 and the Sen MKH416. There is quite = a price > difference in these mics. I want to go with quality, thats really importa= nt to > me. Is it worth the extra 5-$600 to purchase the MKH416 over the ME66 to = get > what I am looking for? |
