I have written to SD asking them about powering options, will report
anything I hear.
The lack of stereo linking is a potential problem. But if you're using
this in standalone mode feeding into a stereo recorder, you can treat
the gain controls on the individual channels of the USBPre2 as trims,
and use the ganged stereo gain control on the recorder. The one part
of the USBPre2 that really needs an internal ganging option for
standalone would be the limiters.
Also--I had mentioned the possibility of using this with an iPad. That
could be problematical, as apparently the iPad will supply only 200ma
of current on its USB port, and the USBPre2 specs out to the USB
standard max of 500ma.
