Bernie,  I appreciate the insight that comes with your experience (and
same to you, Mitch).  But I 'm curious:  What do you mean when you say
"at the surface" for the three hydrophones.  If you're very close to the
surface, it would seem like you'd accentuate noise from waves and the
support structure as well as limiting low frequency response.
