Hi Scott,

Just when I thought I was getting close to a decision.  :-)

Thanks for your input/thoughts on water and the D50.  The compactness and r=
elative simplicity of the D50 using the internal mics is definitely attract=
ive.  I was thinking that the white-noise aspect of water would be more for=
giving, so thanks for confirming that.

So recorder noise is not a problem.  Are there any quality issues you can t=
hink of with the D50 and your water recordings?  Is it clear, consistent, r=
ealistic?  (I'm not really up to speed on the sound quality characteristics=
 to consider.)
