I know that Neumann mics exhibit compromised headroom when fed anything less than 48 volts. << - Im not sure when using battery power if the Rode mics are unbalanced? >> Circuit-wise, there's no reason why a lower voltage available to the impedance converter would have any effect on the output being balanced. An unbalanced output on a microphone is something to be expected only from a low quality amateur level piece where the intention is that a very short cable would be used. Scott Fraser |
