I should point out it I was using a modified NT1A producing lots of clippin=
g thumps which the FR2-LE quite happily dumped enough current to blow the e=
nameled wire leading from the main socket inside the headphone to the speak=
er element. FR2-LE is fine, its made from manly stuff, grrrrr=85

The headphone gain on the FR2-LE was also around 1 oclock rather than full =
- which left me even more confused. (I even have the moment recorded, sadly=
 not for entertainment purposes due to the experimental mic)

I doubt under "Normal" operation it would occur. I cant rule out the HD280'=
s were faulty or were failing. I do know they worked before "the experiment=
" and after they did not :)
