Stereo headphone extension cables do not usually have a sufficiently good '=
screen' to reject spurious noise if used to extend mic cables and are frequ=
ently not screened at all despite being wired to a 3.5mm TRS mini-jack/sock=
et.
A phone call to Studiospares www.studiospares.com (UK 0844 3755000) or Fel=
 Communications www.felmicamps.co.uk (UK 01932 786501) will let you speci=
fy a fully screened lead with suitable lightweight cable and professional c=
onnectors.
cheers
Roger
