if the soundscape is really quiet, yeah, the fr2-le will be slightly =0D
more quiet - but on the other hand even the fr2-le won' t be =0D
completely quiet.. so in both case you will end up with some short of
hiss, You need to pay a LOT more to end up with no hiss at all..=0D
another practical consideration,=0D
the 661 operates on 4 AA bateries and it will record for app 6 hours =0D
with them (well I use rechargable 2500 ones) !!=0D
just compare it to an R-4 that operates on 8 AA and won' t record for
that long..=0D
The fostex operates on 8 AAs but I am not sure for how long..=0D
