between the recorders, in this case I hear the edirol as more natural than =
the sony d-50
when the same mic is used even though noisy.

I thought you were saying the electrets lack sensitivity and that the small=
recorders like
the edirol have limited gain. I also though the main complain with the smal=
l recorders is
their pre-amp. so I wondered about using a better pre-amp with the line in.=
"Don't a number of the electrets have pretty low sensitivity too?
Perhaps something good to figure in because some of the new pocket
recorders have limited gain. Rob D."
