Yes, there are, Lily. As an alternative to MS (Sennheiser MKH30/40
combos), for binaural, I use two Sony ECM55B lavs as back-ups in the
field. Find a tree about the same diameter as the distance between
one's ears, tie a string around it, then fasten the lavs 180=B0
opposite and, voila! These are relatively low noise, relatively
impervious to humidity, easy to use, and can be heard on many of our
recordings.
