Hi Lily--
All "binaurals" (small electret mics) that I know of have more 
self-noise than the microphone preamps in both of these two 
recorders. Don't be surprised if there's no audible difference using 
this mic pair.  You'll notice a difference with AT-3032 mics whose 
self-noise is much less at ~8dB(A).
