I agree - it!s likely to be something really simple - these things often are. I have been downloading from the cf card into my PC & also tried a firewire transfer to check. Headphones: i!ve tried various sets from really good ones to the cheapest pair I own & the crackle is always there. Interestingly, with headphone level at about half & nothing even plugged in I can hear a similar crackle - very, very quiet though. back to recordings. I have been recording empty rooms & have made recordings with various settings and with the same settings with different mics. It only does it with the NT55's. Right now I am hoping it might be simply a settings issue - I know the NT55's are sensative to low freq. I actually only have the omni capsules with me here in Prague - would have been good to test to see if it does it with the others attached. As for posting a graph - well I use wavelab & am also having the damn windows vista trouble so whenever I try to save it, it closes. thanks. |
