Pete, Very often Web Developers need to view pages they are building on different platforms, in different browsers. Using a MacBook Pro running Safari, Firefox and then switching over to IE6 or 7 in Windows (running Bootcamp) is an ideal compact traveling solution for working on websites and seeing how the pages render. As far as I know, Mac has the only system that will do that.
