For access to applications that run on both operation systems maybe?
If all other factors were equal, most of us would choose
cross-platform applications over dedicated applications and the
hardware issue would be moot. Apple and MS seem to be "fully aware"
of this. I'd love to be able to just have a PC, but there are always
a few apps on needs that will not run on all operation systems.  Rob
