I'm with John on this one sadly, I still use HiMD (sometimes) but keep
aware that it's a risk I'm not happy with.

I don't like HD, despite the capacity being a real convenience; and I
was excited about SD/CF becoming as cheap as HiMD and using it as
write-once-and-archive media -- but then someone mentioned that the
data retention time for these cards is only 10 years. Grrrrr. :/  I
guess it's SD/CF and then redundant HD copies for a while yet. :/
