The real issue isn't really about 'shock' for me. It's that A) less power consumption, B) no noise, C) theoretically more stable, as all HD will eventually fail, moving parts and whatnot. But really mostly it's about the potential power savings that interest me. What the real world benefit will be, I don't know.
