Oryoki,

I'm going to say this as someone who uses flash memory exclusively.

I follow a couple of fora frequented by location sound recordists, and I am 
unaware of a single instance of someone complaining about hard drive shock, 
etc. 

In fact, you flagged this same issue in a thread on this forum a few months 
ago, and the one person who had actual experience with shock said that the 
problem is a figment of the imagination.

Do you have any actual evidence to support the statements that you make about 
problems with hard drives?
