Version 1 just works on broadband noise, &, IMO, does a very poor job of that. In my experience it did more damage to the signal than any useable benefit. SoundSoap Pro is a completely different thing, which DOES take care of clicks & pops, is manually adjustable over a wide range, & does a pretty good job when used in moderation.
