I just got one last week. The rechargables it uses are the 7.2V batteries used in RC cars. I charged up a 3600 mAh battery with a quick charger in about 30 minutes and then recorded for 8 hours strait. This was using the internal mics just to test the battery life. I plugged in our Sennheiser ME-66 and the noise was below the mic so the inputs are good. I will be takeing this to Costa Rica in a week. I will give a good field report after being used for the next month. I will post some bird songs also if we have a place to do that.
