As I try to point out time after time, the weak link with the FR2LE 
might be the phantom power.
Does it work noiseless with all mikes?
That we don't know until several people have used it.

My FR2 is now at the Fostex workshop. They willingly admit that it's 
phantom power adds noise, but they can't find anything wrong with it.
Neither with the PRO6 handle.
"Everything is fine, it should work great!"

But it doesn't.....
