I had a new energizer (sony NP-F550 clone) battery which was DOA. Came w/
the 702T I bought via ebay. Won't hold charge even enough to boot the
machine. Supposedly brand new, though I can't return it because I didn't bu=
y
it. It's possible the trouble is that I screwed up the first charge, since
I wasn't aware the pack was new. I may have charged it for a few minutes
instead of fully.

Thanks Rich for your battery info and link. I look forward to getting this
gear stuff figured out so I don't have to think about it any more ;)
