The RH1 is on batteri, the Art2 is running off battery, the 828 is on mains=
. The miccable is
good, I use it all the time. The mic is fine too. I am running a longish un=
balanced cable
from the outputs of the 828, so that might cause some noise. The funny thin=
gs is when I
used the preamp on the 828 with all the same cables attacheds it was like I=
was able to
breath again (almost no noise). And, this noise I have problem with is the =
same as the one
I get when plugging a Sony ECM-MS907 into the RZ1 but not having turned the=
mic on.
This is what suggests to me that the preamp has some noise in it. I also ge=
t the same
noise plugging an ordinary cable into the preamp input.
